EXPERIENCE: Prior to joining Bangladesh Eye Hospital, Dr. Wadud started her ophthalmology career at Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital (IIEI &H) and served the institute in different capacities for seven years. She was Head of the Glaucoma Dept. from 2011 to 2014. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she actively served the academic wing of the institute. She was pioneer in introducing long term fellowship program in Glaucoma at IIEI & H. She has trained fellows and postgraduate residents.

Currently she is in charge of Glaucoma department at Lions Eye Institute and Hospital.

She is experienced in treating and managing all forms of glaucoma related disorders of all age groups. She has performed high volume glaucoma and cataract surgery as well as different laser procedures for glaucoma.

PHILOSOPHY OF CARE: Dr. Wadud focuses on providing patient centered care. She values empowering patients with information regarding their medical condition. She believes that patient’s treatment plans should be a two-way partnership between the patient and the ophthalmologist. 

CLINICAL INTERESTS: Dr. Wadud’s clinical interests focus on providing highly specialized consultations in the diagnosis and medical, surgical, as well as laser treatment of all forms of glaucoma.

She enjoys teaching and is committed to training next generation ophthalmology residents and fellows. Dr. Wadud has several national and international publications.
