Dr. Md Abdul Muntakim Shahid is a consultant in Cornea and Anterior Segment disease. After completing MBBS, he achieved DO from Mitford hospital in 2008 & FCPS in 2012. After that, he has done a long-term fellowship in cornea & ant. segment at IIEI&H in 2013. He worked at the National Institute of Ophthalmology (NIO) for 3 years in different sub-specialty of eye. During the training periods, he worked along with National Eye Care Program in urban & rural areas and performed several thousand cataract surgeries. He is an expert in cataract (Phaco & SICS), Pterygium, Cornea transplant, Injury & Others ant. segment disease. He Achieved the Prime Minister award in Ophthalmology in 2014. He is married to Dr. Bushra Jesmin and has a daughter
