Doctor Biography

Dr. Nusrat Benta Nizam is a renowned cataract & vitreo-retina surgeon in Bangladesh. She passed MBBS on 2007 under Dhaka University. She passed her MS in Ophthalmology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) on 2016. After completing her medical graduation, she worked at so many tertiary hospitals in Bangladesh and managed patients with different kinds of ocular diseases. She gained experience in all kinds of retinal disease & surgery, Retinal laser procedures, and cataract surgery. She completed a Long-term fellowship in cataract from Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute on 2018. Being enthusiastic in vitreo-retina, she completed her long-term fellowship in that field from from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital on 2020. Now she is working as a Consultant at Bangladesh Eye Hospital. Her special interest is in cataract and all kinds of Vitreo-Retinal surgery and procedures including Laser and Intravitreal Injection. Dr. Nusrat Benta Nizam is also active in research work and published her research paper in different journals. She regularly attends various ophthalmological conferences at home and abroad.
